FULL SWING GOLF SIMULATOR FEATURED AT HISTORIC 2011 SENIOR PGA CHAMPIONSHIP

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – The 72nd Senior PGA Championship at famed Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky should prove to be an exciting and historic event for official sponsor KitchenAid, PGA, and the spectators attending this year.
For the first time at any major championship, cell phones and smart phones will be permitted on the grounds of the golf course throughout the tournament. KitchenAid and The PGA of America will be unloading a barrage of social media initiatives, promotions, scores, statistics, and information via Twitter feeds and Facebook updates to keep the crowds engaged during the week of the event.

A Full Swing Golf simulator will be featured at the KitchenAid Fairway Club helping to collect donations from contestants who want to compete in a closest-to-the-hole competition with daily prizes given out to the winners. Proceeds from the competition will go to Cook for the Cure. Full Swing recreated the par 4, 13th hole, known as “The Island”, exclusively for the event so that visitors can experience the difficult approach to the green which is surrounded by a stone wall – much like the pros are, just feet away from the pavilion.

KitchenAid’s unique blend of interactive cooking demonstrations and golf should prove to be an exciting hospitality experience for those who make their way inside. If you are at the event, play in the simulator and make a donation benefiting Cook for the Cure – a culinary-based fundraising event for Susan B. Komen for the Cure!
